Girl Wonder is a multimedia installation housed inside an altered jewelry box, transforming an object associated with childhood and femininity into a container for memory. Five miniature video screens play fragments of personal and family imagery alongside a mirror, wind-up ballerina, fabric, a preserved bee, and buttercups - objects connected to family histories and memories of childhood.

The work considers the girlhood I experienced alongside the one I imagined, using the jewelry box as a kind of sanctuary where memory can be preserved and reconstructed. By bringing moving images into an intimate domestic object, Girl Wonder collapses past and present, allowing fragments of family, longing, and wonder to exist together in one small space.
