The Oldest Daughter is a performance work by Hartford Dance Collective, for which I developed a projected video environment examining the role of the eldest daughter as a structure of expectation and inherited responsibility.
The dancers perform in front of and in dialogue with the projection, activating the visual environment through movement.
The projection does not serve as backdrop, but as an active field - intersecting with the performance and contributing to the overall atmosphere of accumulation and pressure.
