The Oldest Daughter is a performance work by Hartford Dance Collective, for which I developed a projected video environment examining the role of the eldest daughter as a structure of expectation and inherited responsibility.

The dancers perform in front of and in dialogue with the projection, activating the visual environment through movement.

The projection does not serve as a backdrop but as an active field, intersecting with the performance and aiding the overall atmosphere of accumulation and pressure.
